Saturday night, Crystal Castles played a free show at the Harbourfront Centre. It was short but sweet and lots of fun. Everyone ended up standing on the long benches and my feet kept slipping through the slats, not cool but worth it, hah. My crappy camera died like 10 minutes into it but I got a few mediocre photos.

Better photos here (not mine of course)
Myspace – Crystal Castles (definitely check them out if you have not already)
Now off to see John Mayer tomorrow, what a difference, prettttty sure there won’t be as many (obnoxious) hipsters there.

I’ve only been listening to The Kooks for a few months, but in those few months, I’ve pretty well been listening to them non-stop. They’re another one of those indie rock bands from England that seem to pop up every five minutes, but I’m drawn to their catchy melodies and lyrics. The Kooks were in Toronto to back up their latest release, Konk. My favourites – “Always Where I Need To Be”, “Do You Wanna”, “Shine On”. For real though, the whole album is really good. I loved at the end of the encore, during the energetic “Sofa Song”, Luke jumped into the crowd, of what I assume to be crazy teenage girls, but I could tell that they really love to perform.
